Ric Flair is a big fan of wrestlers in AEW, but thinks they should hire one of the hottest free agents in wrestling today. On the third episode of Ric Flair’s Wooooo Nation UNCENSORED, co-host Mark Madden brought up the topic of All Elite Wrestling before asking Ric about the company’s massive roster and if they should considering hiring some name talent on (or about to be) on the free agent market.
“I most definitely would hire Bray Wyatt,” Flair said flat out. “I’m a huge fan of his. The kid could work and talk and he comes up with some incredible ideas.” he said before noting Madden not being a fan of The Fiend gimmick in WWE. “I know you’re not crazy about those gimmicks but when you think he put the time and effort, those were his thought process.
“He’s legit. He’s a tough kid. He played football at Troy. I know I’m probably in too much favor of a lot of the athletes that played D1 sports and that, but I’m just a big fan of his. I like his brother [Bo Dallas] a lot too. You couldn’t find a handsomer more athletic guy, but I think if I’m gonna hire one more guy, I’d hire Bray Wyatt.”
The two continued the AEW discussion regarding the opening segment on the 11/24 episode of AEW Dynamite. Madden thought the segment was great, but questioned the productivity of naming a WWE talent like Miz due to it making WWE look like a bigger deal. Flair mentioned that he didn’t notice it initially due to the confrontation being so good, but believes Mark’s point has some validity and said that Vince McMahon would likely fire someone if they name dropped another star from a different promotion. All that being said, Flair loves him some Maxwell Jacob Friedman.
“I’m a big fan of MJF. The kid can talk and more than that, he carries himself like a pro,” Flair said, particularly praising how he always dresses. “I can’t emphasize enough how important in my estimation it is to look professional and that kid always looks sharp and I’ll leave it like that.”
