Chase takes control with a hair pull. Swinging neck breaker by Chase for a near fall. Chase works over Grimes. Grimes eventually destroys Chase with the Cave-In for the win.

Duke Hudson appears in the bird’s nest. Hudson congratulates Grimes on his last victory. Hudson shows slides of what Grimes will look like after he loses their hair vs hair match at NXT WarGames. Grimes gets mad and tries to cut Chase’s hair. One of Chase’s students makes the save. Grimes grabs a mike and promises to shave Hudson bald.
In-Ring Segment: Team NXT 2.0
Carmelo Hayes says they are the future of NXT. Hayes says he is the “A” Champion and Johnny Gargano is going to find out at WarGames. When Hayes shots, he don’t miss. Grayson Waller says they are going to beat team “Hotdogs and Handshakes”. Bron Breakker says they are going to beat the Black and Gold team and he’s coming for the NXT Championship. Tony D’Angelo says their competition paved the road they are walking on right now.
That road is full of potholes and they are going to fill them with the Black and Gold Team’s heads. The fans picked Breakker to represent Team 2.0 tonight in the advantage ladder match. Johnny Gargano walks down to the ring and says if it wasn’t for guys like him Team 2.0 wouldn’t have a ring to stand-in. Gargano says it starts tonight with the “Big Bad Booty Nephew”. Gargano tells Breakker to leave his team in the back tonight. Breakker agrees.
MSK finally makes it to their Shaman’s house. It took a while since Carter was driving seven miles an hour. They knock on the door and a huge puff of smoke comes out. Lee says it’s him but we can’t see who it is.

Number One Contender’s Match: Legado del Fantasma vs. Kyle O’Reilly and Von Wagner
O’Reilly and Wanger stomp Mendoza in the corner. O’Reilly gets forced into Legado’s corner. Mendoza and Wilde work over O’Reilly. O’Reilly tags in Wagner. Wagner tosses Mendoza all over the ring. Xyon Quinn walks down to the ring. Elektra Lopez’s mood changes. After the break, Legado del Fantasma is working over O’Reilly. O’Reilly manages to tag in Wagner, who clears the ring.
O’Reilly tags back in and lands a series of strikes to Mendoza. Outside the ring, Quinn and Lopes circle each other. Escobar attacks but Quinn fights him off. Wilde drops O’Reilly with a DDT. Wilde hits Wagner to draw the referee away. Legado tries a double team while the referee’s back is turned but Wagner quickly pulls down the top rope as Mendoza hits it, sending him out of the ring. O’Reilly and Wagner hit a high/low on Wilde for the win.
