Alex Kane makes history.
In a hellacious ladder match inside the 2300 Arena, Kane became the second National Openweight Champion in MLW history. Kane defeated Alex Shelley, Zenshi, Myron Reed, & ACH. ACH was a surprise entrant after returning to wrestling in recent months.
The only other champion in history was Alex Hammerstone. Hammerstone gave up the championship after he defeated Jacob Fatu for the MLW World Championship at MLW Fightland which was also held inside the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Kane was drafted to American Top Team as part of the MLW Open draft during the summer of 2021.
