Beth Phoenix explains how Renee Paquette‘s recent cookbook inspired her to chase her passion for music.
Beth Phoenix was a recent guest on Instinct Culture by Denise Salcedo to discuss a variety of subjects. When asked about how WWE got involved in helping her with her music album, Phoenix revealed she has a lot of friends in WWE’s Music Group.
“I had made friends with a lot of people in the WWE Music Group, and my friend Elias had put out an album, and it just kinda started becoming a possibility,” Phoenix said. “I sent some rough sketches of these songs on piano and sent the lyrics over and they said ‘let’s record these, let’s do it.’ And so since the opportunity arose, I was like ‘Okay, Let’s go for it!’ I’ve never done anything like this and I was just really excited to put it out in the world and not just be playing my music at home.”
Beth Phoenix also revealed that it was Renee Paquette releasing her own cookbook that inspired her to get back into music in the first place.
“So last year I had the privilege of watching my friend Renee Paquette create and put out this lovely cookbook which was just such a beautiful process and I know she poured her heart and soul into it and it was really inspiring to me,” Phoenix revealed. “So I kinda just started writing songs and sharing them with friends and family and getting their feedback on stuff and then like I said the WWE Group offered me an opportunity… they helped to contribute and guided me so much in this process.”
Beth Phoenix’s EP, Stone Rose & Bone, is now available for purchase on Amazon. Paquette’s cookbook, Messy In The Kitchen: My Guide to Eating Deliciously, Hosting Fabulously and Sipping Copiously, is also available to buy in digital or hardcover formats.
