Kenny Omega: I Need Time To ‘Fix’ Things After AEW World Title Loss

In the aftermath of his loss at AEW Full Gear, several outlets reported that Kenny Omega was performing hurt during his run as the AEW World Champion, and he even reportedly worked injured at the pay-per-view. As a result, it wasn’t surprising to see the former world champion announce that he needs to take some time away to fix things for the following episode of AEW Dynamite.

In a promo that opened up the November 17 episode of AEW Dynamite, a dejected Omega congratulated the new AEW World Champion Hangman Page on his victory at Full Gear, but he said that things needed to “change.” With that in mind, Omega asked the Young Bucks to hold things together while he’s gone before Adam Cole jumped in to say he would. Omega quickly clarified that he wasn’t talking to Cole, though the Bucks reassured “The Cleaner” that they would hold down the fort for Omega.

Previous reports have indicated that Omega has been dealing with various medical issues. He recently revealed that he’s been wrestling with vertigo and suffering from a lack of movement in his shoulders. Omega reportedly wanted to finish his storyline with Page, and now that it’s over, it seems like he can easily take some time to heal up.
