MATCH 1

MJF vs. Darby Allin (with Sting)

Darby has a vignette hearkening back to his traumitizing moment with his uncle and the DUI. A masked MJF is the passenger. Sting only comes out to the entryway with Darby. MJF starts off with several headlock takeover attempts. An amazing set of pin attempts occur before both men trade arm drags and we reach a stalemate and then a round of applause. Soon, MJF sucker punches Darby. Allin goes to the outside and MJF lariats him. He Fargo struts. MJF talks smack to a fan and it allows Darby to tope.

Darby goes to Coffin Drop Max on the apron but MJF rolls out of the way and Darby its the apron crisp.  Back in the ring, MJF elbow drops the back of Darby and covers for two. Darby goes for a spinning headscissors but Max catches him with a modified backbreaker for another near fall. Hard hammer throws in the corner to Darby. Darby gives him a receipt with one of his own. Big dueling chants. A backbreaker and then a back slam for a two count by MJF. Max hits a second one and he hurts his knee doing it.

MJF goes for a superplex, but Darby bites him. They jock for position and Darby hits a stunner off the second rope. “Darby” chants. He soon goes for the Coffin Drop, but before Darby attempts Max rolls out of the way. He catches Darby with a headlock takedown for another pin, but kick out. Darby goes for a rana, but Max catches him with a powerbomb backbreaker (you can hear Darby say “oh shit”). Max hits him and Darby eggs him on to do so. Max bites him and soon thumbs him to the eye. Darby low dropkicks him. Darby goes for a Code Red, but Max gets a nifty powerbomb. Two count.

Max locks in the Scorpion Deathlock. Darby soon gets free but MJF chop blocks him. Darby counters Max and locks on the figure four. MJF struggles but flips it over. Darby breaks it with the aid of the ropes.

The two fight on the apron and MJF catches Darby with a tombstone piledriver on that apron. Max favors his knee while Darby is out. Max enters at six and Darby enters at nine.

Darby catches Maxt with several pin attempts until both roll on the floor in a small package.  More pin attempts. Darby hits a Code Red and it’s a real deal false finish. Crowd pops.

Darby slowly ascends for a Coffin Drop once more, but MJF escapes to the outside to recoup, but Darby lands the Coffin Drop to the outside! Darby gets him back in the ring for another Coffin Drop, but Max, to his detriment, gets his knees up. MJF screams in pain. Shawn Spears comes down with Wardlow, but Sting takes both out with the bat and then Spears’ chair. Roll-up pins by both (Max grabs the trunks of course). “Fight forever” chants. MJF grabs Darby’s skateboard. He implores Darby to hit him with it. Darby contemplates and backs up, but stops. This allows Max to put on his Dynamite Diamond Ring and slug Darby with it. Headlock takedown. 1-2-3.

MATCH 2

AEW World Tag Team Championships

FTR vs. Lucha Brothers (c) (with Alex Abrahantes)

Dax and Penta start off. “CM” to the face of Dax and the two strike one another back and forth. Dax rolls up for a two count. Another one too. Penta does his own cradle but Cash gets a boot on him. That prompts Rey to step in.

Both become the legal men and they go back and forth with strikes. Fenix tags in Penta, but gives Cash a springboard armdrag. They go to kick the teeth out of FTR but they bail. Penta leaps but FTR slams him into the barricade. Rey does the same and the duo tosses him into the guardrail with a Bad Guy fallaway slam.

Back in the ring, LB’s keep control with chemistry double teams. They get submissions on FTR and Rick Knox prompts them both to break the holds. FTR soon almost gets the W with the distraction. While Knox’s back is turned, Cash ties Penta’s mask to the ropes. Dax stomps away as Knox unties him. Catapult to the bottom rope.

Dax continues to isolate Penta.  Cash goes to knock Rey off the apron, but gets nailed. The tag is made to Rey, but Knox didn’t see it due to Cash.  Penta flips Cash and DDTs Dax. Rey does some crazy offense against FTR and hits a double cutter as a flourish. He covers Dax for a two count. Rey walks the rope to punt kick Dax. He covers for a two count.

Dax pushes Rey off of a pin attempt and Cash smacks him with a AAA Tag belt. Dax hits a brainbuster and covers: 1-2-no!

FTR nail Rey with an assisted backdrop. Cash bridges and gets another two count. Rey gets tagged mid-run and gets set up for a Big Rig, but Rey escapes. In comes Penta. He sets Dax up but Tully grabs his leg. Dax hits Penta with asolid right hand. He does an Eddie Guerrero sashe, and goes for the Three Amigos. Penta stops him at two and does the Three Amigos of his own. Rey hits him with a frog splash: 1-2-no! “Eddie” chants echo the Target Center.

LBs goes for the Fear Factor, but Cash trips Rey up. They hit a Stump Piledriver, but Rey somehow kicks out.  Big Rig attempt, but Penta saves and Rey small packages for a two count.Tag to Penta. “This is awesome” chants. An impressive Fear Factor and there’s a double pin attempt. Knox waits for the legal men for the pin and counts, but it’s only good for two. FTR put on the Super Ranas mask to confuse matters. Cash, the illegal masked man, tries to pin Rey with his feet on the ropes, but Knox catches the infraction. Cash gets hit with the LB piledriver and Cash, still the legal man, gets counted down for three.

MATCH 3

AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament Finals

Miro vs. Bryan Danielson

Bryan goes for the handshake but Miro doesn’t accept. Miro flings BD. Danielson goes to kick Miro but Miro tosses him again. Reset button. Lock up and Bryan hits some strikes and chops. Side headlock attempt and Bryan corners Miro for some more strikes.  Miro knocks Danelson to the outside. Danielson puts his knees to his chest to recuperate.

Back in the ring, Danielson hits with some more strikes in the corner, but Miro shoulder tackles him. Danielson hits him with an inside elbow strike and dropkicks him out of the ring. Danielson goes for a dive but Miro strikes him in the ropes. Overhead belly-to-belly on the outside by Miro.

Miro gets in the ring and gloats to mostly boos. Several vert suplexes by Miro. Two count. Miro chokes Danielson in the ropes before a hammer throw into the corner. More gloating from Miro. He’s mocking the “Yes” chants. This allows Bryan to strike back in the corner. He hits a running dropkick. Miro then catches him with a Samoan Drop. Two count.

Miro goes to snake eyes Danielson into the ring post,  but Bryan pushes him off, gets on the apron and hits a leaping knee from it. He gets Miro back in the ring. Dueling chants. Shotgun dropkick from up top by Bryan. Miro is down in the corner and crawls toward Bryan. Yes kicks a-plenty. He hits about seven until Miro catches him, but Danielson rolls through for a pin attempt and then a knee bar. Miro is trapped. Instead, Miro deadlift gutwrenches Danielson. Release German suplex by Miro. Back body drop attempt by Miro but Danielson lands and kicks him. Two count. Front facelock by Bryan leads to knees strikes before his patented face stomps. Danielson sizes him up. He goes for the running knee strike, but Miro catches him for a powerbomb. Two count. Miro looks up at his God. Miro limps to his feet and calls for a Game Over. He tries to get it in, but Danielson fights. Miro has it in. Danielson makes it the ropes before fading.

The’s some rolling on the mat until Danielson gets the LaBell lock on. Miro fights for awhile and turns Danielson over for some hard strikes. “This is awesome” chants. Danielson has a triangle sleeper locked in . Miro gouges Danielson’s eyes. Aubrey Edwards breaks it up and tells Miro to keep it clean.

Danielson strikes at Miro, but Miro gives Bryan a hard shot that downs him. He waits for Bryan to get back up. Leg kicks from Bryan. Miro kicks him down again. He implores Bryan for more. Danielson gets up and obliges. Three kicks by Bryan, one kick by Miro downs him. Miro fireman carries Bryan over to the top turnbuckle. The two punch it out on top. Danielson hits a tornado DDT from up top and gets a guillotine choke in. Miro is immediately out and Aubrey calls for the bell.

MATCH 4

Falls Count Anywhere Match

Super Kliq vs. Christian Cage & Jurassic Express

JX take out the Bucks. Cage goes for the Killswitch on Cole, but doesn’t happen. Cole eats a dropkick from JB after a sequence. The Bucks take out JB, but Luchasaurus takes out The Bucks. Cole takes out Luchasaurus with the chair. JB grabs the chair against Cole and catches him with it. He sets the chair up. Young Bucks stop JB from any offense.  Table is set up on the outside. JB takes down the Young Bucks and sits down. Cole kicks him. Christian hits Cole with a reverse DDT on the chair. Two count. Luchasuarus double Germans THe Bucks. Cole hits Luchasaurus with a trash can before JB Germans Cole. Tope suicida 2x for JB onto Cole. JB goes for an over the top senton, but The Bucks catch him with a trash can. Luchasaurus covers one of the Bucks for a two count on the floor.

JX get Cole up for a snap dragon kick onto the steel chair. They pull out a table. Christian slides some chairs into the ring. Adam Cole is busted opened, bay bay. Cage goes to Conchairto Cole, but Cage wants JB to do it. JB hesitates and it allows the Bucks to save Cole. Luchasaurus pursues Cole in the ring with strikes. Luchasaurus goes for an Awesome Bomb through the table to the outside, but it doesn’t happen. Instead Matt Jackson kicks him onto that very table. Matt throws JB into the corner, but JB uses that momentum to rana Cole through the adjacent table on the entryway. Matt elbow drops Luchasaurus through the other table. Christian Cage fights with Brandon Cutler and Nick Jackson. Huge cross body by Cage to Cutler and Nick on top of the corridor. They fight back down the steps. Nick flings Christian into the steel steps. Adam Cole wheelbarrows JB’s back into the apron. Cole tosses in a bag of thumbtacks. “E-C-Dub” chants. They shove the tacks in JB’s mouth as they do their “Elite” kiss and superkicks. Christian just makes the save.  Nick pulls out a ladder. “This is awesome” chants. The ladder is leaned on the second turnbuckle and Christian gets slammed against it. Christian fights them all off and tornado DDTs Nick onto the ladder. Cage favors his back. Luchasaurus has a flurry of corner attacks. Adam goes for a Panama Sunrise, but Lucha catches and slams him on the ladder. He chokeslams Nick on the ladder. Standing moonsault by Luchasaurus and pin attempt to Nick. Matt saves him with a hard shot to courtesy of the trash can. Luchasaurus sits right up. Matt soon bails after a kick out at one. He bails but JB catches him with a Snare Trap on the stage, but a save is just made. Some near finishes occur on the stage with all competitors. Lots of impending spots here. Adam Cole uses the truss to Panama Sunrise JB. A save is made.  Superkick to Luchasaurus. Superkick to Cage. Adam Cole hands the Bucks two thumbtack laden knee pads. They hit a BTE Trigger on Luchasaurus with it. JB just saves him. Cage spears a man and Luchasaurus chokeslams Adam Cole off the stage. Luchasaurus hits a shooting star press from off the stage onto the Super Kliq. “Holy shit” chants.

Cage goes to Conchairto Matt Jackson, but JB wants to do it. Cage hands him the chair and he nails it. 1-2-3.

MATCH 5

Andrade El Idolo & Malakai Black vs. PAC & Cody Rhodes (with Arn Anderson)

PAC and Andrade start it off. Cody tags himself in to boos. PAC fires back with a tag of his own. Andrade strikes him. Punches are exchangedd between the two opponents. Savate kick by PAC leads to an armdrag and headlock takedown to keep Andrade down briefly. He backs PAC up into his corner and Malakai tags himself in. Malakai backs PAC into the opposite corner and Cody tags himself in to more boos. Cody and Andrade go at it. They fight on the apron. Jose grabs the boot of Cody. Andrade gets Cody back in the ring. Cody topes onto Jose and hits a powerslam on Andrade. Aggressive blind tag from PAC. Malakai tags in. Lots of animosity between partners here with blind tags.

Cody hits a Cody cutter on Black. He goes for a Cross Rhodes, but Malakai counters. Tag from PAC and Black hits a spinning heel kick to take Cody out. PAC hits an Asai moonsault. Jose gets the shit kicked out of him by Arn Anderson as they fight up the entryway. Andrade has control of PAC in the ring. They battle for awhile. Shots are traded and both men knock each other down.

Doc Sampson checks on Cody on the outside and PAC gets spikesd on the apron. Big thrust kick from PAC to Black. Cody gets back on the apron to boos. Cody gets the tag and hits the “flip flop and fly” to Andrade. Disaster Kick to Black and Cody crotches Andrade on the top rope. Osaka Cutter to Andrade from the top. Two count.

Cody gets a figure four on Andrade. PAC tags himself inand hits a 450 splash on the prone Andrade. 1-2-Andrade gets his hand on the ropes.

Chaos occurs as Malakai and Cody fight over the guardrail. It leaves it to Andrade and PAC. Poison rana to Andrade and then Black Arrow. 1-2-3.

WINNERS: PAC & Cody Rhodes

Post-match, FTR attack Cody and PAC.

MATCH 6

AEW Women’s World Championship

Tay Conti vs. Britt Baker (c) (with Jamie Hayter & Rebel)

Rich Ford from FOZZY plays Britt Baker to the ring. Mat wrestling goes down before Britt wrings the arm of Tay. Surfboard stretch by Conti. Britt flips Conti and both go for their finishers which leads to a stand-off. Tay does some cool arm drag Judo throws. Britt hits a butterfly suplex on Conti. Britt hits Reno’s “Roll The Dice” for a near fall.

Tay changes the momentum with several pump kicks. Three of them as a matter of fact.  Big crossbody. 1-2-no. Soon, Britt changes momentum herself with a curb stomp. Two count. On the apron, Britt hits an air raid crash. She covers Tay. Kick out. Britt gets the Lockjaw administered briefly but Tay stops it by getting her foot on the ropes.

A backslide attempt by Britt. Tay-KO to Britt. 1-2-no! Conti fights on and hits a Gotch piledriver. Another two count. Jamie Hayter sweeps the legs of Conti and tosses her into the ring steps. Curb stomp on the steps by Britt. A curb stomp in the ring. Hammer elbow. Lock Jaw. Tay rolls to the ropes somehow. Britt goes to stomp her on the apron, but Tay moves and gets a moment to recover. Tay crosses herself and climbs up top. Moonsault to the outside that only lands on Hayter and Rebel (Britt walked away). Tay catches her with a swinging STO. Back in the ring. DD-Tay for such a very close finish.

Britt goes for a Lock Jaw yet again, but Tay rolls her for a cradle pin, but Britt rolls her back for one of her own to get the 1-2-3 finish.

MATCH 7

Eddie Kingston vs. CM Punk

Eddie Kingston pays homage to Terry Funk with a bandana and taped wrists. Before the bell even sounds. Eddie hits him with his patented back fist. Ref checks on Punk who wants more of it and the bell rings. Insanely loud dueling chants here as Punk stirkes away at Eddie in the corner before Kingston hits an exploder suplex. “Eddie” chants. Rapid shots in the corner by Eddie. Punk comes off the middle rope and he gives Eddie mounted punches.  Punk gets a bit of boos here. Hard chest kicks from Punk, but Eddie pokes him in the eye.

Kingston and Eddie brawl on the outside. Punk eats some ring steps and Punk is bleeding. Punk hits a back body drop on Kingston. “Now we go to school motherfuckers!” Punk yells. Flying elbow to Kingston.

Big shoulder tackle by Punk and Punk then sets Eddie up (not kidding) for a Five Knuckle Shuffle tease. He flips Eddie off and they start fighting. CM Punk hits the Three Amigos on Eddie. Eddie paintbrushes Punk up top and yells “Fuck you” at Punk as he unleashes a flurry of strikes.  Eddie superplexes Punk. Him and Punk meet in the middle of the ring that gets a huge reaction. Enziguri by Eddie. Kingston signals for a GTS, but Punk hits the GTS instead. Punk can’t capitalize. “This is awesome” chants. Eddie goes for a spinning backfist but Punk ducks. Elbow strikes by Punk. Crowd begins to boo. He feeds Eddie more knees. He picks Eddie up and hits a GTS. 1-2-3.

WINNER: CM Punk

Post match, Punk celebrates, but goes for the handshake. Eddie does not accept. He shoves a cameraman out of the way even.

MATCH 8

Minneapolis Street Fight

America Top Team vs. Inner Circle

Scorpio Sky and Sammy Guevara begin festivities. Sammy hits a crisp dropkick and arm drag to a good pop. Santana and Ortiz nail a flurry of ground attacks to Sky. Two count. Double team suplex too.  Hager and Junior Dos Santos get mixed up and Jericho gets the tag. He and JDS go at it. Powerslam by JDS. He’s pumped. Big suplex by JDS. Standing moonsault. Two ocunt. Lambert wants tagged in and JDS obliges. He slaps Jericho. Jericho grabs Lambert and an all-out brawl ensues. Hager dives on top over everyone on the outside. Lambert has a lead pipe. All the weaponry has Minnesota ties basically. Jericho has a Prince sign he’s about to hit Lambert with, but Ethan Page stops it. “Purple Rain” chants.

The fight in the ring continues with offensive attacks by Santana and Ortiz to the MOTY. They have a trash can on Ethan Page and hit him with hockey sticks. Ortiz has Sky in a Gory Special while Santana has a Boston Crab. They lock it together and Sammy throws a football at the chest of the prone Sky. Soon enough Andrei and Page attack Ortiz. Hager saves him but is ganged up on by the MOTY. Jericho hits them with a water ski. Lambert pulls Jericho out of the ring and runs away. Sammy hits a srpingboard cutter to Sky and soon hits a senton bomb from up top on Sky. Two count. A lot of chaos going on. Lambert continues to flee.

Santana and Ortiz nail a superplex to JDS. A huge ladder is on the outside as he falls off to hit a senton through the table onto Sky. Page hits and Ego’s Edge on Ortiz but then gets Iron Claw’ed by Baron Von Raschke at ringside!

Lambert taunts in the ring and turns around to see Jericho. Chris strikes him down and goes for the Lionsault. JDS misses a cue and Jericho calls for him to strike him. JDS does to complete the spot. Lambert covers but Jericho kicks out. Jericho takes a kendo to Lambert and JDS. He staples Lambert in the twig and berries. “Eddie” chants as Jericho climbs up top. Frog splash to Lambert. 1-2-3.

WINNERS: Inner Circle

Tony Schiavone has a very special announcement on stage. He introduces a special guest and new member of the AEW roster: Jay Lethal. He’s pumped and officially reveals that he is All Elite.  He then challenges Sammy Guevara to the TNT Championship this Wednesday. Sammy comes out and accepts.

MAIN EVENT

AEW World Heavyweight Championship

Adam Hangman Page vs. Kenny Omega (c) (with Don Callis)

Hangman gets a cinematic entrance that features him on horseback on the streets of Minneapolis outside the Target Center. Introductions are made as we hear “Cowboy Shit” chants. They stand nose-to-nose and back up. Lock up. Rest. Lock up again. Reset. Lock up three leads to trading chops. Big shoulde tackle by Page sends Kenny reeling. Chops in the corner to Kenny. Kenny tries to fight back by Hangman has control and lariats him in the opposite corner. Don grabs the boot of Hangman and Omega takes advantage.

Hangman finds a window by knocking Kenny to the outside. Omega drives Kenny into the apron and barricade repeatedly. Hangman suplexes Kenny on the floor after Omega gloats a bit. “Let’s Go Hangman” chants. Big leaping lariat from Hangman, but it barely gets a one count.

Kenny thumbs Hangman in the eye, but Hangman fights back briefly only to take a big collision in the corner. Kenny dumps him out and Callis stomps a mad mudhole into Page as Omega distracts the ref. Omega slams Hangman onto the steel steps and grinds his face off of it. He puts Hangman back in the ring. Kenny feigns for a Buckshot Lariat, but walks back in the ring and Hangman makes him pay with heavy shots. Kenny nails a hurricanrana. Omega Terminator dives onto Page.

Hangman gets back in it with a well-timed counter. Kenny runs into a high boot from Hangman. Hangman hits a Scott Hall fallaway slam. He hits an elbow suicida to Kenny and then his patented leaping moonsault to the outside. “Cowboy shit” chants.

Back in the ring, brainbuster by Page. Two count. Hangman drives Kenny into the corner and Page props him up top. Hangman and Kenny battle it up top. Palm strikes by Kenny allows him to hit a springboard Liger bomb back in the ring. Crowd claps Hangman back up but he gets a snap dragon suplex for his troubles.  Kenny goes for another one and hits it after Hangman gives a desperation attempt to stop it.  He then goes to deliver one on the the apron to Hangman and hits its. He puts Hangman immediately back in the ring. Kenny showboats and hits a V-Trigger. OWA attempt, but Page victory rolls for a two count. Release German suplex by Page. Tiger Driver ’98 by Kenny for a two count. Omega bites Page, but Hangman crotches him on the turnbuckle. He then bites Kenny’s forehead. Super fallaway flip slam. 1-2-no….

Kenny is on the outside leaning against a table. Hangman ascends, removes a camera on top of a ring post and leaps off, sending Kenny crashing through that table. He gets Kenny back in the ring and sizes up for a Buckshot Lariat. Kenny, however, collapses. Hangman goes for a V-Trigger, but hits a rolling elbow strike and pop-up powerbomb. He goes for a Buckshot, but Kenny pulls Paul Turner in his way and Hangman accidentally hits him instead. Callis goes to hit Hangman with the title but Hangman slugs him. Kenny tries to swing the belt at Hangman. Hangman ducks and hits a Deadeye. Hangman covers. Aubrey Edwards comes out: 1-2-kickout!

Hangman briefly contemplates using the belt but doesn’t. Shots are traded. Kenny lays them in. Page gives Kenny the finger and Omega hits some standing knee strikes. He catches the V-Trigger, and fires back. Kenny hits a V-Trigger. Hangman hits a spinning elbow. Rapid kicks by Kenny. Page calls Kenny a “motherfucker” and lariats Omega inside out. “A-E-Dub” chants. Oout comes the Young Bucks to boos. Kenny headbutts Page. Backdrop diver to Page. Page hits a Backdrop driver to Kenny. Hangman goes for a Buckshot and gets hit with V-Trigger. Kenny goes for the OWA, but Hangman reverses and hits a OWA of his own. 1-2-no! Hangman hits a Buckshot to the back of Kenny. Nick and Matt are thinking about this moment heavily as Matt nods to Hangman who hits a Buckshot Lariat from the front and gets the 1-2-3.

WINNER and NEW AEW World Heavyweight Champion: Adam Hangman Page

Post-match, Hangman relishes in his hard-fought victory. The Dark Order come out on stage to applaud him as he calls them down to the ring. Alex Reynolds offers Hangman a beer and he tosses it aside to hug them all. Dark Order hoist Hangman on their shoulders and the show ends.
