MJF Likens Himself To Muhammad Ali: ‘I’m Willing To Say Whatever I Have To In Order To Defeat My Opponents’

Greatness can only be compared to greatness…if you’re an MJF fan, that is.

AEW star MJF recently spoke with UPI to promote this weekend’s Full Gear pay-per-view event, where the aforementioned Maxwell Jacob Friedman will take on Darby Allin. During the interview, MJF would liken himself to boxing great Muhammad Ali, touting the latter’s ability to do and say whatever it takes in order to claim victory when it comes time for action.

“I’m willing to say whatever I have to in order to defeat my opponents. Muhammad Ali did the same exact thing and nobody was saying he was some horrible human being.”

When asked about if there’s a line he won’t cross when it comes to the verbal side of things, MJF’s response was par for the course for the New York-native.

“It’s sad that somebody being real in professional wrestling is a throwback. I don’t perform for [expletive]. You know what I do? I be myself 24/7. I’m not a character. I’m not playing anybody. This isn’t a game to me. This is a sport. My generation is wildly ADD-ridden and, quite frankly, can barely pay attention to anything anymore. Easily the dumbest people on the face of the Earth. You can tell how dumb they are from who they cheer for. If you’re willing to cheer for a guy like Darby Allin, you must be really, really dumb.”

MJF faces Darby Allin at AEW Full Gear on Saturday, November 13.
