Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens faced off to close out this week’s episode of WWE RAW, and when Rollins walked out with a win, Owens shocked the audience by snapping on WWE Champion Big E after the match.
In a match against “The Drip God”, Owens wasn’t able to come out on top, as a hard-fought contest between the two led to a massive fight outside of the ring. After blocking a Stunner from Owens, Rollins hit a huge blow, but Owens was able to roll out of the ring. Seth was undeterred, though, as he dove over the apron and knocked Owens owen. Meanwhile, Big E, who joined the commentary team for the bout, watched it all unfold with a surprised look on his face.
After he took down Owens, Rollins slid back into the ring, and the referee count outed Owens out when he couldn’t return to the ring in time.

Following this disappointing ending, Owens stood up and seemed visibly confused by what had just happened. In a shocking moment, Owens unloaded on Big E by assaulting him and throwing him into the steel steps. He then hit Big E with a huge powerbomb onto the apron. “The PrizeFighter” repeatedly punched the champion to leave him down and out.
Officials and security ran down and tried to break things up, but Owens wasn’t having it; he continued his assault as the night came to an end. Owens had been desperate to show Big E that he could trust him, but as it turned out, the former WWE Universal Champion’s tendency to betray those around him continued on Monday.
