Previously, wXw announced Acey Romero, former Ring of Honor Pure Champion Jonathan Gresham, and Fuminori Abe, the reigning ZERO1 World & International Junior Heavyweight Champion, as entrants.
The 2022 wXW 16 Carat Gold Tournament will kick off on March 4, and it will culminate on March 6.
In the past, Ilja Dragunov, Zack Sabre Jr., Tommy End (Malakai Black), Chris Hero, and El Generico (Sami Zayn), and Walter have emerged victorious in the competition. Though the COVID-19 pandemic forced wXw to cancel the tournament this past year, it had been an annual staple of the calendar in the wrestling world since 2006.
WrestleZone will provide more details as they become available.
