Oney Lorcan (Biff Busick) Released By WWE

Oney Lorcan has been released by WWE.

Formerly known as Biff Busick, Oney Lorcan confirmed he had been released by WWE on Thursday evening. Lorcan posted a video on his YouTube account confirming the news:

“Today, I have officially been released from my WWE contract. I had a great six years with WWE, I’m going to look back on that time fondly. I met some great people, I had some great experiences, it was definitely a cool chapter in life. Going forward though, I’m very excited for the future. I have a 90-day no-comepte clause in my WWE contract, so that brings me to about the first week of February where I’ll be able to work anywhere in the world. So, I’m very excited for the future, I wanted to say to all of the WWE fans for sticking with me, I hope going forward you’ll continue to follow me and stick with me. I’m very excited for the future. Biff rules!”

Oney Lorcan is a former NXT Tag Team Champion, winning the title one time with Danny Burch.

According to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, budget cuts were cited as the reason for the releases in an email sent to talent by John Laurinaitis.
