Sammy Guevara successfully defended his TNT Championship during this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, as he took down Ethan Page to set the stage for a major match at AEW Full Gear.
In the ring, Guevara came out on top despite Page looking like he would get the win at various points in the match. Towards the end of the bout, “All Ego” set “The Spanish Sexy God” up on the turnbuckle and looked ready to hit the Ego’s Edge on him, but Guevara countered it just in time.
After a missed shooting star attempt left both stars down on the mat, Guevara ultimately clinched the win with a jackknife pin that kept Page down for the count. After the bell, Page began to attack Guevara, with Scorpio Sky also getting involved before the Inner Circle came down to rescue their stablemate.
After they cleared the Men of the Year out of the ring, Chris Jericho grabbed a microphone and reminded everyone that, due to Guevara’s victory, the Inner Circle will face Men of the Year and three members of American Top Team at AEW Full Gear. Better yet, according to Jericho, Tony Khan has made the match a Minneapolis Street Fight. Fans will have to wait until next week to see which ATT members the Inner Circle will choose to face.
