Tonight, WWE SmackDown enters a new era coming out of the WWE Draft; the roster received several fresh faces in this shakeup, and it seems that the company will feature these competitors in various ways.
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, WWE has plans for several of these performers in their new destinations. In the women’s division, Xia Li will be a face, and Shoti Blackheart will turn heel; her former tag team partner Nox will remain a face in her move to WWE RAW. Likewise, Mia Yim will be booked as a face when she debuts on the red brand.
Otherwise, Johnson notes that there has been some discussion of having Apollo Crews and Commander Azeez work as a regular tag team moving forward. Speaking of the tag team division, Swerve Scott and Ashante Thee Adonis of Hit Row will pair up, while Top Dolla is planned for a singles push. Johnson also reports that Hit Row will stay together as a faction.
