Backstage, Atout interviews Bud Heavy, who says Philly is the way to be. A masked man interrupts the interview by whispering in Atout’s ear, and she says she has to go.
The broadcast team says Jordan Oliver is in the hospital after 5150’s attack on Injustice last week.
Emilio Sparks secretly films a backstage conversation between Jacob Fatu and Josef Samael; Fatu is mad about his loss to Hammerstone, but Samael says War Chamber is their chance for revenge.
In Cesar Duran’s office, he’s on the phone recruiting someone to come to MLW. Atout arrives, and Duran tells her he’s impressed with her work. She wants to interview him, and he brings up her expose of his activities. Duran offers her a front-row seat to King Muertes’ match with Holliday. She takes him up on the offer.
In a separate segment, Duran sends a message to Mads Krügger. He says the past is the past, so he’s impressed by Krügger’s potential; he then invites the big man to meet with him.
Caribbean Championship Match: Richard Holliday (c) vs. King Muertes
Duran and Atout are sitting in the front row for this bout. In a pre-match promo, Muertes vows to bring the title home. Holliday walks to the ring favoring his ribs. Bocchini emphasizes that Holliday is competing against the doctor’s advice, so he had to sign a waiver ahead of the match. “Muertes Gonna Kill You” chants ring throughout the 2300 Arena just before the bout begins.
Holliday shoves Muertes, and the big man chops the champion. A Spear drops Holliday, and Muertes hits him with a flurries of strikes. The challenger continues to control the bout by targeting Holliday’s injured ribs. Backstage, the camera shows Krügger brawling with EJ Nduka. Muertes drops Holliday with a clothesline, as he maintains the upper hand. The challenger clotheslines Holliday over the ropes, and Duran dumps his Champagne on the champion’s head.
CONTRA Unit continues to attack Nduka backstage. Muertes blasts Holliday with several clotheslines in the corner. Holliday keeps fighting, and he takes Muertes down with a flying forearm. The champion drops Muertes with a spinebuster. “The Man of 1,000 Deaths” overpowers Holliday. Hammerstone makes the save for Nduka backstage while Holliday fires up with some strikes. He puts Muertes in the torture rack and gets a two count with a neckbreaker.
The Sentai Death Squad approaches the ring, and Ikuro Kwon blasts Holliday with a kick. Muertes capitalizes by slamming Holliday on the floor. He rolls the champion back into the ring and pins him.
