Johnny Gargano has literally lost his “way”, but he has a new mission on WWE NXT 2.0.
This week, in the wake of Indi Hartwell’s marriage, Candice LeRae’s pregnancy, and Austin Theory’s move to WWE RAW, Gargano showed by to NXT, seemingly by himself, to confront NXT North American Champin Carmelo Hayes. “Johnny Wrestling” acknowledged these changes but noted that it’s time to get back to what he does best, which is facing guys like Hayes in front of the passionate fans.
Gargano poked fun at Hayes’ slogan, that he doesn’t miss when he shoots, by daring the champion to take a shot at him. “Johnny Wrestling” then pointed to Dexter Lumis, who was suddenly standing behind Hayes and his hype man, Trick Williams. After a brief brawl, Gargano and his son-in-law cleared the ring. In the struggle, Hayes dropped his title, and Gargano picked it up to send “Melo” a clear message; he’s clearly planning on trying to beat his own record and win his fourth NXT North American Championship.
Turns out @DexterLumis don't miss either.

Gargano’s contract is reportedly expiring in December, so it’s unclear what his long-term future holds.
