Sami Callihan Posts Gruesome Photo Of His Injured Ankle: ‘It’s Probably Fine’

IMPACT Wrestling‘s Sami Callihan has unfortunately been injured and will be out for an extended period of time.

Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer first reported the injury, and Mike Johnson of PWInsider later confirmed that not only did Sami Callihan break his ankle, but he suffered broken tibia and fibula bones in his left leg as well. The injury occurred in a match during the tapings when Callihan was attempting a tope suicida.

Sami Callihan has already had surgery for the injury and isn’t expected back in the ring for IMPACT Wrestling until mid-2022 at the earliest.

This comes at a terrible time as Callihan and Eddie Edwards have been locked into a big feud against W. Morrissey and Moose that was probably going to end in a tag team match at Bound For Glory in October. But that is obviously off the table now.

IMPACT Wrestling chose to turn this injury into a storyline last night by claiming that Moose and W. Morrissey attacked Callihan backstage and caused the injury to write him out of the storyline for the time being.

The former IMPACT World Champion took to social media last night following the broadcast show to show a pretty gruesome image of his ankle with the caption, “It’s probably fine.” You can check that image out embedded below.
