The United Wrestling Network will finally crown a world champion this weekend.
After a brief hiatus, on a new episode of UWN Primetime Live, the promotion will finally present the long-awaited title match between Chris Dickinson and Mike Bennett on October 2.
Dickinson and Bennett made it to the finals of the tournament for the title, but the bout was postponed when Dickinson suffered an injury.
As seen in Marquez’s tweet, the 10/2 taping will also feature a compelling six-man tag team bout where Daniel Garcia, Taylor Rust and BHK will face NJPW Strong regulars Clark Connors, Karl Fredericks and Alex Coughlin. Juicy Finau will also be in action at the show. Other announced matches include PPRay vs. Midnight Heat and David Finlay vs. Will Allday. The show will air on FITE at 9:30 p.m. EST.
UWN’s return as been in the works since at least March, when some reports noted that it was in talks to come back as a weekly series.
