Former ECW and WWE Superstar and Japanese wrestling legend Tajiri will make his Major League Wrestling debut at Fightland in Philadelphia on October 2 as he returns to the United States to challenge for the MLW World Middleweight Championship.
This is Tajiri’s first wrestling match in the United States since April of 2019, when he wrestled for House of Glory. This is a big get for Major League Wrestling and should certainly bring more eyes to Fightland on October 2.
The following is a press release from Major League Wrestling regarding the newly announced four-way for the MLW World Middleweight Championship:
Major League Wrestling (MLW®) today announced a 4-way World Middleweight Championship title fight with the reigning World Middleweight Champion Myron Reed vs. TAJIRI vs. Aramis vs. Arez for MLW Fightland on Saturday, Oct. 2 at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia and airing nationally on a later date.
Yoshihiro Tajiri, a standout in All Japan Pro Wrestling, makes his highly-anticipated return to the United States in a match which marks his MLW debut.
MLW matchmaker Cesar Duran brokered the match, which will see two of Mexico’s most exciting luchadores in Aramis and Arez enter the fray as they get their first shot at championship gold.
“This ‘Young GOAT’ Myron Reed says he is the greatest, so let’s find out, shall we?” said Duran. “If he can conquer two of the best luchadores and survive a Japanese Buzzsaw, then maybe (Myron Reed) is the greatest of all time. But that is a big if, amigos. Let’s find out… at FIGHTLAND!!!!”
