Joel McHale brought the icnonic Johnny Cage character in the animated movie, “Mortal Kombat Legends: Battle Of The Realms,” and he recently shared his belief that former WWE Champion The Miz would be perfect for the role.
The Miz has previously expressed his interest in playing Cage, and in an interview with ComingSoon, McHale explained that “The A-Lister” would be “perfect” for the part.
“I think he’s perfect,” said McHale. “I’m not kidding. I think he looks great. He looks the part and I’ve interacted with him a few times and he’s really nice. I think he’s really good.
“I’ve seen him in a couple of different things and I was like, “Oh, that guy can do it.” Not that I’m casting the thing, but yeah, I think he’d be perfect. He’s definitely out of physical shape and would have to get in shape, but, you know, little things.”
When it comes to wrestlers who have made the jump to Hollywood, The Miz might not be the first name fans think of. But the former reality television star has built a noteworthy acting career, with starring roles in “The Marine” franchise, among other films. Of course, he’s also one of the leads in the popular series, “Miz & Mrs”, and he’s the host of the “Cannonball” competition series on USA Network.
