Edge Brings Back Brood Entrance, Beats Seth Rollins at SummerSlam

After antagonizing Edge for months, Seth Rollins finally got his chance to face off against the man in the ring at tonight’s SummerSlam pay-per-view. Unfortunately for Rollins, he ran into a very angry and very focused Edge, who walked out with a win.

From the very moment Edge came out, he was extremely ready. To start, the superstar came out to the classic Brood theme song, even rising from the flames as he used to do before his normal theme song kicked in. Once in the ring, the two put on an electric and incredible show, brawling with one another from the start and clearly having no love for one another.

Throughout most of the match, Rollins tried to focus heavily on Edge’s neck, smashing the back of his head into the steel steps outside of the ring, hitting a series of neck breakers, and just generally trying to land enough blows on it to put Edge down for the count. However, Edge would survive every blow, eventually leaving the two superstars brawling back in the ring after taking the match nearly all over the arena.

Late in the match, Edge was able to avoid a quick schoolboy pin and lock Rollins in a crossface. After rolling him into the center of the ring, Edge continued to pull back on Rollins’ face while Rollins tried to get to the ropes. After prying Edge’s hands away, Rollins looked ready to break free, but Edge quickly squashed any hopes by repeatedly slamming Rollins’ head into the ring over and over again before applying a sleeper hold that forced Seth to tap.
