ROH Glory By Honor Night Two Results (8/21/21)

ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championship: Shane Taylor Promotions (c) vs. Incoherence (Delirious, Hallowicked and Frightmare)

UltraMantis Black walks out to the stage and Incoherence follows him. Shane Taylor Promotions enters in full force with Ron Hunt and O’Shay Edwards. Kaun and Delirious start the bout and trade shoulder blocks. Delirious hits Kaun with an atomic drop and takes him down with an arm drag. Moses and Hallowicked enter the bout, and the masked man nearly catches Moses with a pin attempt. Hallowicked springs over the ropes and gets a one count with a roll up. Frightmare and Hallowicked double-team Moses, and Taylor tags in.

Frightmare slaps Taylor and kicks him. Taylor absolutely nails Frightmare with a nasty punch. Delirious and Hallowicked gang up on Taylor. Hallowicked dives onto Kaun outside the ring, and Frightmare also dives onto Taylor. Incoherence stands tall while Shane Taylor Promotions regroups at ringside. Kaun catches Delirious with a stun gun, and Moses throws him into the barricade. Moses slams Frightmare into the barricade. In the ring, Hallowicked chops Kaun, who fires back and drives him into the corner. Taylor tags in and blasts Hallowicked with a head butt. The champions gang up on Hallowicked. Moses drills Hallowicked with a body punch, but Hallowicked rallies by slamming Kaun onto Moses.

Delirious hits a series of strikes and takes Moses down with a clothesline. He drops Kaun with a hurricanrana, and the challengers take control by teaming up on Moses. Frightmare almost gets the win with moonsault-knees. Taylor trades blows with Hallowicked and slams Delirious to the mat. He climbs up to the second rope, and Incoherence hits the Headless Horsemen (assisted cutter) for a two count. Moses takes Delirious and Hallowicked down with a senton. Frightmare squares off with Taylor, who rocks him with a knee and hits the Marcus Garvey Driver for the win.

Both teams shake hands after the bout. EC3 silently confronts Taylor after the match and joins the commentary team ahead of the next bout. He states that he wants to win the ROH World Championship; he calls it his destiny.

Flip Gordon & Demonic Flamita vs. Mark Briscoe and Brian Johnson

Johnson cuts a promo before the match and calls Philadelphia the greatest city on the planet. Briscoe and Flamita start the match, and they feel each other out. Gordon refuses to tag in, and Johnson enters the match. He shoves Flamita and hits him with several strikes. A diving shoulder block gives Johnson some control, but Gordon tags in and targets Johnson’s wounded hand. Gordon drops Johnson with an elbow to the face. Briscoe tags in, and Gordon slides out of the ring to avoid him. Flamita dives onto Briscoe outside the ring and plants Johnson with a Spanish fly on the floor. Flamita rocks Briscoe with a superkick, but he fires back with a suplex.

Briscoe grounds Flamita and suplexes him for a two count. Flamita drops him with a right hand and double-teams him with Gordon. The two men isolate Briscoe and take firm control of the bout. Briscoe slams Flamita off the top rope and tags Johnson, who hits Gordon with a flurry of offense. A diving clothesline and a running lariat give Johnson even more momentum. Briscoe tags in and blasts Gordon with some chops and a clothesline. Johnson and Briscoe drop Flamita with a double clothesline. “The Mecca” yells at Briscoe after they accidentally collide; he then walks out on the match, leaving Briscoe by himself. Flamita flips off the crowd, and he also flips Gordon off when “The Mercenary” tells him to use a chair.

Gordon spits on Flamita, and when he distracts the referee, Briscoe slams Gordon onto a chair for the win.

Winners: Mark Briscoe and Brian Johnson

The medical team, along with PJ Black, checks on Gordon after the match.

The Foundation (Jay Lethal, Jonathan Gresham, Rhett Titus and Tracy Williams) vs. Violence Unlimited (Brody King, Chris Dickinson, Homicide and Tony Deppen)

Both stables shake hands before the action begins. Deppen and Titus start the match and feel each other out with technical holds. They exchange shoulder blocks, and Titus takes Deppen to the mat. He slams Deppen, but a dropkick catches him right in the jaw. King tags in and demands to face off with Gresham. He’s about to get his wish, as the ROH Pure Champion tags in, but Lethal tags in right away. Homicide enters the bout, and the two veterans square off. They exchange blows, and Lethal drops Homicide with some stiff chops. Homicide throws a chair into the ring, but his stablemates calm him down.

Dickinson and Williams tag in and exchange technical holds. Williams avoids a knee-bar and turns it around on Dickinson. A big boot rocks Williams, but he slams Dickinson off the second rope. Lethal tags in and double-teams Dickinson with Williams. Gresham tags in and catches Deppen with an impressive German suplex. The Foundation gangs up on Deppen and isolates him. Williams stomps on Deppen’s ankles, and Gresham slams his knee repeatedly into the mat. Gresham kicks King in the face, and Titus drills Deppen with a big boot. Williams drops Deppen with a piledriver.

Gresham plants Deppen with a combination cutter for a two count. Deppen trades blows with Gresham, but Lethal comes in and plants Deppen with a cutter. Gresham hits a shooting star press for a two count. King rescues Deppen from a Figure-Four by powerbombing Titus onto Gresham. King slams Williams onto Titus and dives onto Lethal outside the ring. The big man turns Lethal inside out with a clothesline. King and Gresham trade blows, and the Pure Champion flips King off. Dickinson slams Gresham through a table at ringside. Deppen blasts Lethal with a pump knee, and Homicide plants Lethal with an assisted cutter for a two count.

Homicide dives onto Titus outside the ring, and King squashes Williams with a running splash. Lethal catches Deppen with the Lethal Injection for the victory.

Winners: The Foundation

King drops Lethal with a Gonzo Bomb after the match. Homicide hits Lethal with the Cop Killa, and the assault continues. Deppen blasts Titus with a knee to the face. Dickinson says no pure wrestlers can match them. The fans chant, “Violence.” Dickinson mocks pure wrestling and the Code of Honor. He challenges any pure wrestlers from the past, present or future to step up and face Violence Unlimited.

Silas Young joins the commentary team ahead of the next bout.

Dragon Lee & RUSH vs. Bandido & Rey Horus

RUSH attacks Bandido from behind, and Lee tries to stop him, but the former world champion grabs his brother by the throat. Lee and RUSH hug and take the fight to their opponents. The two brothers gang up on Horus and blast him with some nasty chops. Horus dodges Lee and causes him to dropkick RUSH. Horus rallies and tags Bandido, who hits a corkscrew dive on RUSH. Bandido lifts Horus and assists him while he dives onto his opponents. Bandido takes RUSH and Lee down with a diving dropkick. Bandido and Horus double-team Lee and slam him to the mat with a powerbomb and a cutter. Lee and RUSH regain control and rock their opponents with running kicks in the corner.

RUSH and Lee dive onto Bandido and Horus outside the ring. The two brothers hang up on Horus, and RUSH threatens the referee when he gets frustrated. RUSH suplexes Bandido into the corner, and Lee drops Horus with a snap Dragon suplex. RUSH blasts Bandido with a nasty kick, and all four men are down. Bandido catches Lee and nails the X-knee, but Lee fires back with two knees of his own. The world champion hits a modified destroyer, but Lee escapes the 21-plex. He gets a two count with the Incineration knee. Horus takes RUSH down with a tornado DDT and drops Lee with one, too. Bandido gets a two count with a frog splash. RUSH seemingly tweaks his knee and yells at the referee when he checks on the former champion.

Horus drops RUSH with a kick to his bad knee. Lee dives onto Bandido outside the ring, and RUSH hits the Bull’s Horns on his bad knee for the win.

Winners: Dragon Lee and RUSH

Lee and Bandido tell each other “great match”, but RUSH talks some trash to rub salt in the wound. RUSH can barely walk, and La Bestia del Ring helps him to the back.

Quinn McKay comes to the stage and says it’s great to see everyone at the show. She says ROH will be back in the 2300 Arena next month for Death Before Dishonor. She announces that Shane Taylor Promotions will defend the ROH World Six-Man Championship against LFI, and Jonathan Gresham will defend the Pure Championship against Josh Woods. The event will also feature the finals of the ROH Women’s Championship Tournament. Plus, in a mystery match, two top free agents “recently on the scene” will collide. Plus, Bandido will defend the ROH World Championship will defend the title aginst Brody King, Flamita, and EC3.

Steel Cage Match for Matt Taven’s future ROH World Championship match: Matt Taven vs. Vincent

Vincent slams the cage door into Taven’s face before the match even starts. The two men brawl around ringside and into the crowd. The fight spills into the concessions area. Vincent suplexes Taven onto the stage and takes control. Taven catches Vincent with a kick and gets a table. He sets up two tables next to each other, but Vincent slams him into the cage wall and into the barricade.

Vincent drives Taven into the barricade again and pushes her into the cage. He gets a chain and brings it into the cage with him. The match officially starts, and Vincent locks the cage door with the chain. Vincent throws the key out of the cage, and Taven takes the fight to him. Taven crotches Vincent on the ropes and hits a diving neckbreaker off the top rope. He hits a few running knees to the head and gets a two count with a frog splash. Vincent locks in a guilotine choke, and Taven slams him into the cage, trying to escape it. Vincent keeps the hold locked in, and Taven hits him below the belt to escape. A Side Effect off the second rope earns Vincent a two count.

The two men send each other face-first into the cage. Taven hits a springboard kick to the head. Bateman walks down the ramp with barbed wire and slides it into the cage. Mke Bennett runs to ringside and brawls with Bateman. Vincent and Bateman wind the barbed wire through the cage wall. Bennett suplexes Bateman into the barricade. Vincent grinds the barbed wire on Taven’s face and makes him bleed. Taven slams Vincent into the cage wall, and the former world champion’s face is a crimson mask. Taven wraps the barbed wire around Vincent’s skull and DDTs him.

By ripping the barbed wire off of Vincent’s head, Taven makes him bleed. Taven gets an axe and grinds it on Vincent’s head. A stiff knee to the skull drops Vincent. Vita VonStarr comes to ringside and tosses a bag into the ring. VonStarr climbs onto the top of the cage and dives off, but Taven dodges, so she lands on Vincent. Taven opens the bag and pours tacks on the mat. Taven backdrops VonStarr onto the tacks. Taven dodges Vincent and makes him kick VonStarr. A Climax onto the tacks earns Taven a near fall.

Vincent evades Taven’s frog splash off the top of the cage and hits the Orange Sunshine for a near fall. Taven blocks Redrum (a swanton) and Dutch climbs up the cage. Taven sends Dutch crashing through the tables, and the distraction lets Vincent hit a diving cutter off the cage wall for the pin and the win.
