Tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown will surely feature some exciting matches and compelling segments. But perhaps the noteworthy aspect of the show won’t be part of the broadcast, as Adam Cole is reportedly set to meet with WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon tonight.
According to Fightful Select, Cole will be backstage at Tampa’s Amalie Arena for SmackDown in order to have a “high level” meeting with McMahon.
Earlier this week, Wrestling Inc. reported that Cole’s WWE contract will expire after WWE SummerSlam, and this deal was a brief extension after his contract initially expired in July. Fightful Select later added more information to the situation by noting that Cole agreed to work through SummerSlam and re-evaluate his contract situation later.
