Former WWE developmental wrestler Brandi Lauren has been named as an alternate in the Ring of Honor Women’s World Championship Tournament. WWE released Lauren in May.
Kevin Eck shared the news in the latest edition of the “Eck’s Files” on the ROH website:
Brandi Lauren and Laynie Luck have been named alternates for the tournament.
Lauren was trained by Jay Lethal and has been wrestling for five years. She has competed in NXT and Impact.
Luck, a six-year veteran, made her ROH debut in April, when she and Hyan wrestled Max The Impaler and Rok-C to a 15-minute draw.
The tournament will kick off this weekend on ROH Wrestling with three first-round matches. Rok-C will face Sumie Sakai, Mazzerati will take on Nicole Savoy, and Mirandi Alize will face off with Alex Gracia.
