During the “Fight For The Fallen” episode of AEW Dynamite on Wednesday, Nick Gage and Chris Jericho faced off in a brutal No Rules Match. The bout was extremely violent, and Gage used a pizza cutter to slice Jericho’s head open. Many fans have joked about how the picture-in-picture broadcast showed Gage cutting Jericho at the same time a Domino’s Pizza commercial aired.

After a tweet showcasing the quick cut to this commercial, Domino’s came forward a statement in which the company condemned the act and stated that they have made their concerns known. Domino’s also stated that it will be “assessing” the company’s advertising presence on Dynamite going forward.
“We share the concerns expressed about this incident and the content of this TV-14 rated program, and are assessing our advertising presence on it going forward,” said Domino’s spokeswoman Jenny Fouracre-Petko.
It’s unknown what, if anything, will come of the news, but it is the first time in recent memory fans have seen an advertising brand speak out against AEW. The company is known for its relatively adult-oriented presentation of professional wrestling. With this statement from Domino’s, speaking out against the how, it’ll be interesting to see how AEW responds.
