Karrion Kross can’t escape Jeff Hardy.
According to live reports from Wednesday’s WWE NXT tapings, a Karrion Kross segment had to be re-shot at the end. Now, Bodyslam.net has offered more details on the reason for the reshoot and says it’s because fans were chanting ‘Hardy’ at the NXT Champion.
According to multiple sources speaking with Bodyslam.net, Kross was met with chants of ‘Hardy’ as he entered the Capital Wrestling Center, a reference to his RAW debut that saw him lose in just under two minutes to the ‘Charismatic Enigma.’
Bodyslam’s Trent Osborne explained that NXT crew members also told fans to stay in the building for the re-shoot, but one fan claimed they were lied to and was told there was a ‘surprise’ coming.
“They even lied to us and said something special was going to happen so we wouldn’t leave,” one source told Osborne. “[A Crew Member] told me the show wasn’t over. When [we] tried to leave, he told us there was a surprise.”
Kross made his in-ring debut on RAW on July 19 but lost in quick fashion to Jeff Hardy, and the decision has been highly contested all week. It’s not uncommon for wrestling promotions to re-tape segments, but WWE clearly wasn’t happy with the disruption on Wednesday night.
