Hours after the news about Bayley’s unfortunate injury became public, “The Role Model” addressed this setback in a message shared by WWE’s Twitter account. In the video, Bayley blamed the fans for the injury because she was pushing herself to get better in order to be the best she could be for them. She also stated that her replacement for her match at WWE Money in the Bank won’t be as good as she is.
“I know what you’re thinking,” said Bayley. “And you’re thinking that this sucks because you wanted to see the longest-reigning SmackDown Women’s Champion in history regain what’s rightfully hers, to walk into Money in the Bank and beat Bianca Belair once and for all and take back my title.
“But now I’m hurt. And now that I think about it, that’s not what your thinking. You don’t care at all. You don’t care that I’m hurt, that I did this to get better for Money in the Bank, that I did this to be the best, that I did this for you. So this is all your fault. This is all your fault. And I don’t care who they put in my place because they’re not as good as me.”
