Triple H Sends Another WWE Championship To The Tampa Bay Lightning, Sami Zayn Responds

WWE has been sending out custom championships to sports teams for several years now. This week, The Tampa Bay Lightning became back-to-back Stanley Cup Champions by defeating the Montreal Canadiens four games to one, something SmackDown Superstar Sami Zayn is less than thrilled about.

This morning, Triple H took to social media to congratulate the Lightning and let them know that another custom WWE Championship is on the way to the team.

“New year, same result. Congrats to @86Kucherov, Andrei Vasilevskiy, the entire @TBLightning organization and the city of Tampa Bay on a dominating performance in the #StanleyCup finals. Time to make room for another custom @WWE Championship! #GoBolts,” Triple H tweeted.

Sami Zayn, who is a die-hard Montreal Canadiens fan, found out about this sometime later and tweeted out a hilarious response:

“I’m used to WWE doing everything possible to screw with me, but COME ON,” Sami Zayn tweeted.

This plays perfectly to Sami Zayn’s current WWE storyline where the company is out to get him, and everything is one big conspiracy. While it’s a shame his favorite sports team lost in the Stanley Cup, he can use this as fuel to further his current story on SmackDown.
