Bruno Laurer, better known to the WWE Universe as Harvey Wippleman, was recently sworn in as an alderman in Walls, Mississippi.
For those curious as to what an alderman does, it’s a position that represents the people who have elected them with the task of looking out for the residents’ best interests. Think about it along the lines of a congressman.
This is the first time someone from professional wrestling has been elected as an alderman, something Harvey Wippleman doesn’t take lightly.
Harvey Wippleman, who grew up in Walls, Mississippi, spoke to WMC Action News 5 about the responsibility that comes with his new position:
“I want to do everything I can to help this town and help the mayor, help the alderman, and make this town even better than it is,” Harvey Wippleman said. “We’re going to be a great four years. Looking forward to working with Mayor Henderson with the rest of the board of aldermen. It’s like my momma said, it be that way sometimes.”
