After Edge shocked the WWE Universe last week with his return, the WWE Hall of Famer had plenty to say this Friday night. In a message to Roman Reigns, “The Rated-R Superstar” said he has no doubt that he will defeat Reigns and become the new WWE Universal Champion.
First, Edge recapped his tough loss to Reigns at WrestleMania, when the champion both Edge and Daniel Bryan in a chaotic Triple Threat match. Edge explained that it would have been a great story to have won the title at the memorable show, but that it didn’t happen. Edge admitted that this loss “rocked him.” He went on to say that he took some time away, but upon reflecting on the match, he realized that Reigns glossed over key points of his victory, such as Daniel Bryan’s presence and Jey Uso’s interference.
“The Ultimate Opportunist” went on to say that he’s not normally one to make excuses, as he’s spent his entire life knocking down obstacles. Edge then argued that both he and Reigns know that he can defeat “The Tribal Chief.” He even brought up a photograph of himself locking the crossface as proof as to just how scared Reigns was at WrestleMania. He ended the promo by saying that he knows his victory over Reigns is inevitable.

Later in the show, Jimmy Uso called out Edge on Reigns’ behalf. He dared Edge to come to the ring and told him the invitation wasn’t a trap. Edge told Uso Reigns is using him and his brother. He questioned what happned to Uso and called him a “bitch.” He attacked Uso and beat him down in the ring. Uso fought back, but Edge regained the upper hand. He locked in a choke hold and made Uso tap out.
Finally, Edge dropped Uso with a Spear and locked in a chair-assisted Crossface.
