In-Ring Segment: Edge
Edge says WrestleMania was supposed to be the culmination of a 10-year story. Edge said he envisioned it so much that he knew it would happen. But then it didn’t. Edge didn’t see that coming. Roman Reigns likes to gloss over so many key facts. Bryan stops Edge from winning multiple times at WrestleMania. Edge has to understand that there are going to be challenges and obstacles but he won’t stop. He’ll never stop. After being in the ring with Reigns, Edge knows he can beat him. Reigns knows it too. Edge shows an image from Mania where he had Reigns in the crossface. Edge says you can see the fear in Reigns eyes. Edge says he’s the guy who’s got Reigns’ number. Edge is inevitable. Edge is going to be the Universal Champion.
Backstage, Jimmy Uso tells Paul Heyman that he’s got Reigns back just like Reigns’ has his back. Heyman just glares at Jimmy. Jimmy says when Reigns get here tonight they are going to ride on Edge.
During a backstage segment, Baron Corbin says he’s lost hundreds of thousands of dollars on investments.
Big E and Shinsuke Nakamura w/Rick Boogs vs. Apollo Crews and Baron Corbin
Corbin looks terrible. His beard is all messed up and he needs to have his head shaved. Crews and Nakamura start off the match. Crews floors Nakamura and yells at Corbin to focus. Nakamura sends Crews into the corner. Running knee by Nakamura. Big E and Nakamura give Crews good vibrations while Boogs plays a riff. After the break, Corbin and Crews work over Big E. Boogs announces that someone’s care is being towed backstage. It’s Corbin’s car. Corbin is despondent. Big E hits the Big Ending on Corbin for the win.
