Drew McIntyre Can’t Say Enough About Wearing A Kilt, Surprised It Took So Long To Become A Fashion Trend

Drew McIntyre wore a kilt quite frequently during his first run in WWE. It wasn’t part of his weekly attire when he returned to the company, but that changed late last year when he changed his entrance to include the kilt and a giant claymore sword.

Drew McIntyre recently sat down with Audacy’s Stryker & Klein to discuss all things WWE. When the subject of him wearing kilts again and how the piece of clothing has recently become a fashion trend, McIntyre admitted that he was surprised it took this long because it’s no secret to Scots.

“I’m surprised it took this long, to be honest,” McIntyre said. “The Scots have known for hundreds and hundreds of years how comfortable the kilt is and allows your daily activities to get taken care of a lot easier.”

Beyond trying to set a fashion trend in WWE, the former two-time champion also believes there are many benefits of wearing a kilt, both on-screen and off:

“It’s nice and breezy,” McIntyre revealed. “If you’re truly Scottish, you obviously don’t wear underpants. I can’t say enough nice things about it. Just don’t do a handstand!”

Drew McIntyre finds himself in a critical matchup next week on WWE RAW as he’ll compete in a triple threat match with Randy Orton and “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles, where the winner will get the fourth and final RAW spot in this year’s Money in the Bank matchup. McIntyre cannot challenge for the WWE Championship as long as Bobby Lashley is the champion. If he can obtain the Money in the Bank briefcase, who knows what will happen?
