WWE Champion Bobby Lashley continues to make it clear that he wants to face Brock Lesnar.
With WWE SummerSlam rapidly approaching, many fans are wondering whether the company will finally book the Lesnar vs. Lashley dream match, but “The Beast Incarnate” isn’t a lock for the show.
In an interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Rick Ucchino, Lashley shared his thoughts about why the bout hasn’t happened since he returned to WWE in 2018.
“I don’t know,” said Lashley. “I don’t know that answer. I really don’t. I haven’t said no. As you can tell, I can only stay ready for so long. But I don’t know. Maybe it’s not something that’s as important to him. Maybe I don’t know, maybe he’s already accomplished everything that he’s wanted to accomplish. Maybe it’s a lose-lose situation for him. I don’t know.
“I don’t know what his reasoning is. I’m sure he’s heard of it, so in his eyes or in his mind, he’s probably either said yes or no. And I don’t know if anybody else can kind of sway him to say yes. I really don’t know.”
Lashley then teased that he could run through the entire roster and try to force the match to happen by putting his own salary on the line.
“I’ll just take it as maybe I just demolish the rest of the roster and then we just throw a bunch of cash at him,” said Lashley. “I’ll throw my salary out there, and we’ll meet in the cage and whoever wins wins it all.”
