Yesterday, during a media call for NXT TakeOver: In Your House, Triple H stated that the best women in the world are in WWE. And if they aren’t in WWE…they want to be. However, it seems some women’s wrestlers outside of WWE have taken issue with this statement, including former NWA Women’s World Champion Thunder Rosa.
Thunder Rosa took to social media, responding to what Triple H said with a simple statement:
“The Best Female Wrestlers are not located in one company not even in one country. They are spread over many companies and many countries! Talented women across the Globe!” Thunder Rosa tweeted.

This all stemmed from NWA announcing that Mickie James would be the executive producer for their upcoming all-women’s pay-per-view in August titled ‘Empowerrr.’ James stated she wanted women’s wrestlers from all over the world to participate in this event regardless of their contractual status.
While Thunder Rosa will no doubt be participating in this event, it’s clear that Mickie James and the NWA are hoping to attract talent from All Elite Wrestling, IMPACT Wrestling, and Ring of Honor to come together to put on a women’s super show that wrestling fans could remember for years to come.
Clearly, WWE won’t be participating in such an event, which led to Triple H’s comments yesterday.
Thunder Rosa currently works for both NWA and AEW. With wrestlers like her, Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D., and Deonna Purrazzo out there. It proves Rosa’s point that the best female wrestlers in the world are not located in just one company.
