Braun Strowman Released By WWE

Braun Strowman has been released by WWE.

Fightful is reporting Braun Strowman was released by WWE on Wednesday, June 2. WWE has since confirmed the move, issuing the following statement. Strowman was one of the multiple names announced in today’s roster cuts.

WWE has come to terms on the releases of Braun Strowman, Aleister Black, Lana, Murphy, Ruby Riott and Santana Garrett.

WWE wishes them the best in all of their future endeavors.

Strowman debuted on WWE TV in 2015 as a member of the Wyatt Family. He is a former WWE Universal Champion, Intercontinental Champion and RAW Tag Team Champion. He also won the WWE Greatest Royal Rumble and Money In The Bank in 2018, as well as the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal in 2019. 

Strowman was most recently seen as a challenger to Bobby Lashley’s WWE Championship on RAW. Strowman and Drew McIntyre competed in a triple threat match at WrestleMania Backlash for the title, but the match saw Lashley retain.
