On the AEW Double or Nothing Buy In, Serena Deeb defended the NWA World Women’s Championship against Riho. The challenger was the inaugural AEW Women’s Champion, so the match offered a genuine clash between the two promotions.
Throughout the bout, both women showcased the skills that pushed them to the top of their respective divisions. Plus, just a few weeks removed from her return after an injury put her on the shelf, Deeb proved that she hadn’t lost a step. She grounded Riho and maintained the advantage.

But the challenger rallied with a flurry of offense, including a frog splash, that gave her some momentum. Deeb continued to ground Riho by targeting her leg, and the champion retained the title by making the challenger tap out with the Serenity Lock.
