Natalya and Tamina are currently reigning over the WWE as WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, and in a recent interview with Renée Paquette on the Oral Sessions with Renée Paquette, the duo spoke about wanting anyone to challenge them.
When asked about what the duo would like to do to keep elevating the tag team titles, Natalya said that their hope is to give every single women’s tag team a chance. “We really want to give every single women’s tag team a chance,” Natalya said. “Everybody from Naomi and Lana, to Ruby and Liv, to Mandy and Dana. I know Indi and Candace are already champions at NXT but it’s like, ‘Why not have champions versus champions?’ Tamina and I will go to NXT. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, these Championships are not just gold; they are a passport to every single corner in the WWE in every single brand across every single women’s division in this company and we will take on anyone.”
Natalya went on to say that they hope to use the belts to provide opportunities to those who may not have had them before. Of course, that doesn’t mean they’ll just be allowing other teams to walk over them, of course.
“We want to give everybody the same chance that we had. So, I look forward to that. We’ve had a great time working with Nia and Shayna– I love kicking Shayna’s ass– But we also want to give everybody else a chance to rise to the occasion a chance to reach their fullest potential.”
