Allison Leigh Shares How Important It Is For Women To Break The Glass Ceiling In Wrestling

Referee Allison Leigh recently spoke with Women’s Wrestling Talk about her role as a professional wrestling official and how she broke into the business. Leigh started with the United Wrestling Network two years ago, and talked about how she’s there to  play a vital role in telling stories in the ring.

“Yeah, I do appreciate when workers realize that the wrath is there to help them. I’m there to help you tell your story. I’m not there to get in your way or not let you get your shit in, as they say. But I’m there to like, yeah. And so the workers who, who work with the wrath, whoever it might be to make that story happen. It’s really special.”

Allison Leigh also shared how important it is to break the glass ceiling for women in the wrestling industry, explaining that she will go out of her way to ensure women have a better future in the wrestling business.

“That was a really special moment. It was like, beyond me as a person. And that way, yeah, that’s what it means to me. And the ceilings, I’ve shattered in comics as well. It’s like women are my first priority. To be honest with you, I would put my career and my life on the line for women to have a better future. So to be able to do that is a really beautiful thing. And I, I won’t like keep my mouth shut or anything like that, the further I go, I’m always gonna make the right choice for women to have that space and people who don’t have that space to have that space.”
