WWE continues to map out the next few months of its pay-per-view schedule. A previous report has the Extreme Rules pay-per-view slated for July 18, and the same article stated that the event will be held within the WWE ThunderDome.
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, SummerSlam’s date is set for August 22. But it’s important to note that the location hasn’t been “finalized” yet.
Given the gradual return to some semblance of normalcy in the wrestling world, fans continue to wonder when WWE will do another show with live fans. In April, company president Nick Khan stated that the company’s next live show would signify the resumption of its touring schedule:
“Stay tuned [for news about WWE’s plans for touring],” said Khan. “But just know that once we’re back on the road, we’re on the road full time. We’re not looking to do other one-offs. Again, this was WrestleMania. And we felt it needed to be done for the fans. So look for news coming soon.”
On a similar note, All Elite Wrestling announced its own return to live shows for July. The company will also hold its Double or Nothing pay-per-view with 100% capacity later this month.
