The Watch List takes a look at what matches you should be watching while you’re at home and they come recommended by your favorite professional wrestling stars.
WrestleZone recently spoke with SoCal Val, who picked the rivalry between Kurt Angle and Bobby Roode in TNA Wrestling / IMPACT Wrestling as her favorite matches to watch. The two had many battles over the years, but only faced off in traditional singles matches eight times. Val said that it didn’t matter which match it was, you knew that it would be an amazing contest any time Roode and Angle shared a ring.
“It would be a series of matches between Bobby Roode and Kurt Angle. Pick any of their matches in IMPACT Wrestling. You know when like Angle and Benoit they would wrestle every single week, but every single effing time it was amazing? Bobby and Kurt had matches that were just out of this world,” she explained, “and if I were wanting to be a wrestler, I would study that. It’s like going to wrestling school to watch both of them in the ring doing what they do best. I think that they compliment each other really well, but any of their matches I think are probably the most perfect wrestling matches that you’ll ever see, that we might ever see in wrestling. They’re that good.”
