Ring of Honor Wrestling has shared several exciting announcements ahead of this weekend’s episode of ROH Wrestling.
On the newest edition of ROH Week By Week, the company officially announced that Tracy Williams will defend the ROH World Television Championship against Tony Deppen on this weekend’s show. “Hot Sauce” won the gold at ROH 19th Anniversary, but he hasn’t defended it yet. This match will pit two of ROH’s dynamic stables against each other, as William and Deppen will respectively represent The Foundation and Violence Unlimited. This weekend’s show will also feature an explosive match between Bandido and Flamita, two former partners who have been engaged in an increasingly bitter feud since MexiSquad imploded.
Plus, the heated grudge match between Angelina Love and Quinn McKay finally has a date. McKay will face Love on the episode of ROH Wrestling that will air during the weekend of May 8. That same weekend, The Briscoes will face the team of EC3 and Flip Gordon in a chance for the two brothers to earn decisive victories over their respective rivals.
Love and Mandy Leon attacked McKay months ago, and when Love returned to ROH at the 19th Anniversary pay-per-view, Maria Kanellis-Bennett booked this match. Beyond the personal rivalry, the match will have important stakes for Love; if she wins, she will earn a first-round bye in the upcoming ROH Women’s World Title Tournament. Though McKay wants revenge, on ROH Week By Week, she explained that she’s also hoping to prove that she’s worthy of competing in the tournament.

On that note, Wednesday, April 28 will be the first Women’s Division Wednesday. The company previously announced this initiative ahead of the aforementioned tournament. The ROH YouTube page will showcase both newcomers and veteran wrestlers every Wednesday at 7 p.m. EST.
At the end of ROH Week By Week, the company announced that Ryan Nova, now competing as Ryan Mooney, will return in an exclusive match on the show next week. His opponent will be “The Mecca” Brian Johnson, and ahead of the match, Johnson delivered one of his famous fiery promos.
