In case you didn’t know, Sasha Banks is the real-life cousin of rap legend Snoop Dogg.
When appearing on ‘Ebro In The Morning With Laura Stylez and Pete Rosenberg‘, the legendary rapper spoke highly of his cousin, former SmackDown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks, her main event match with Bianca Belair at WrestleMania 37 and even recalled bringing Sasha to her first WrestleMania back in 2003 and meeting Ric Flair.
On bringing Sasha to WrestleMania 19 and meeting Ric Flair:
“That’s my blood cousin. And you know what’s crazy? Ric Flair was at the Triller fight, so me and Ric Flair talked and he was like ‘do you remember the first time we met?’ and I said ‘yeah with Charlotte at WrestleMania in 2003 with my little cousin Sasha’ and that was the first WrestleMania she ever went to. So, that was a moment in time where it was the first ever time that I met him and it was me taking her to her first WrestleMania.”
On remembering Sasha getting started in the wrestling business:
“I got pictures of her when she was a little-bitty girl, like 7, 8 years old hanging out with me, ya know, like loving wrestling. When I took her to WrestleMania she f*****g fell in love with it. She did everything that you’re supposed to do. She went to the classes, she studied, she went to the underground wrestling, she was fighting all kind of no-name people, doing this, doing that. She had to build her everything up and when she finally figured that sh*t out, I was like ‘oh, that’s magic right there, baby.”
