‘Jazz’s Retirement Ceremony’ Announced For 4/15 Episode Of IMPACT Wrestling

Jazz is scheduled to get a memorable send-off on this week’s episode of IMPACT Wrestling.

IMPACT Wrestling has announced a “retirement ceremony” for the wrestling legend, the event coming just five days after she lost an “Ultimate Jeopardy” match that had her career on the line.

Jazz made her IMPACT Wrestling debut in November as Jordynne Grace’s tag team partner in the Knockouts Tag Team Championship tournament, and has also competed in various singles matches since then. Over the weekend, she shared some brief comments about the loss to Deonna Purrazzo, but will likely have more to say on her IMPACT career coming to an end.

Jazz recently spoke with WrestleZone about how her IMPACT run came to fruition, crediting Tommy Dreamer for getting her to put off her retirement for one more run at the top.

“Well, [Tommy Dreamer] had a lot to do with it. He reached out to me and said, ‘I hear you’re going to retire. Don’t do it that way. Let’s get you back in the game.’ I said, ‘Dreamer, I think I’m done,’ and he said, ‘No, you’ve still got it’ and you can’t say no to him. It’s an opportunity and a challenge for me,” Jazz said, “and I’ve never been one to run away from a challenge. IMPACT is one of the companies that I’ve never worked for in my 25-year career, so now I’m so honored and thrilled to be a part of IMPACT.”

Jazz added that she thought the pandemic had brought her retirement tour plans to an early end, but says she’s honored to be with IMPACT and said it made her love the business again. Check out the full interview (link below)
