For the third time in his career, Sheamus won the WWE United States Championship.
Riddle unsuccessfully defended the WWE United States Championship against Sheamus at WWE WrestleMania 37 Night Two.
“The Celtic Warrior” controlled the match by overpowering Riddle early on, but the champion rocked Sheamus with belly-to-belly superplex to gain some breathing room. He rallied with a flurry of offense, and he got a near fall with a Jackhammer. But Sheamus nearly earned the win with a nasty knee to the face.

In the end, Sheamus blasted Riddle with a modified Brogue Kick in mid-air to win the WWE United States Championship.
