It appears as if we have ourselves a main event for night one of WrestleMania 37.
WWE‘s Chief Brand Officer, better-known to the world as Stephanie McMahon seemingly confirmed that Sasha Banks will defend the SmackDown Women’s Championship against 2021 Royal Rumble winner Bianca Belair in the main event of WrestleMania 37’s first night.
McMahon appeared on the Bill Simmons Podcast and confirmed the news:
“Sasha and Bianca is newer, but they’re gonna be headlining night one of WrestleMania,” McMahon said “That’s gonna be pretty special and spectacular. I can’t wait to see their match. I’ve always known that Sasha could be right at the top. She just has that ‘it’ factor. She just shines… I’m certainly very excited for Sasha to have this moment. I’ve actually heard fans credit Bayley and Sasha for carrying a lot through the pandemic with their storyline and I think they did. You know, and I’m so grateful to each of them for doing so.”
