WrestleZone recently spoke with Allie Kat, who talked picked from her singles match with Jordynne Grace and Willow Nightingale. Allie is set to face off with Grace on Friday for Title Match Wrestling’s Ladies Night Out: Midnight In Tampa.
“I think since I’m wrestling Jordynne [Grace] at Ladies’ Night Out, if you go back and watch our last singles match, it was at the Midwest Mixtape in Chicago. I think it would be cool to see that, and then see me and Jordynne wrestle again two years later. Or one of my most recent matches I had Willow at Fight Forever, [the first] Real Hot Girl Shit event, I’m really proud of that and what I did in that,” she said. “Either one of those matches is really good.”
Allie also talked about her skill set and how she’s not reserved to just wrestling one style. Facing a wide range of opponents, she says she wants to have fun and have the focus be on her work, too.
“I like being versatile and I like being able to fill a bunch of different spots. I don’t want to call myself a ‘comedy’ wrestler or a ‘technical’ wrestler, or a ‘deathmatch’ wrestler. I feel like I just jump around so much that it’s hard for me to feel like I’m in one spot.”
“Part of me wants to say ‘Yes, I’m a technical wrestler’ so people will take me seriously. People see the whiskers and [write me off] and I’m like ‘OK, sorry I like to have fun, y’all!’ I like to be cute, I don’t want to just be ‘girl wrestler’ or ‘hot girl’. I want to be fun and want you to pay attention to something other than that and realize I can wrestle and I know how to apply a hold, or whatever.”
Agreeing that an appropriate term would be to say she’s a jack of all trades, Allie Kat added that she ‘[doesn’t] whole-ass one thing, I half-ass a lot of things.’
