Triple H says Road Dogg is at home and recovering, but he still had a hand in helping put NXT TakeOver: Stand And Deliver together.
Triple H and Shawn Michaels took part in the night two TakeOver post-show media call, and prior to opening the call to questions, he wanted to share a status update on Road Dogg, who was recently hospitalized due to a health issue.
“Before I open it to questions, I want to mention that Brian James, Road Dogg, just is— he has been home the last couple of days. He’s been recovering,” Triple H explained, “but he’s healthy, and he’s good. [He is] recovering at home, doing well.”
“We had him set up, so he was on a headset over the last two days, kinda being involved. And as he gets his strength back and everything’s feeling good,” Triple H noted, “he’ll be back at it and being the ‘Road Dogg’ in no time. So, I just wanted to give a shout-out to him and we greatly miss him here. He will be back soon enough, but he is doing well.”
James had been hospitalized after a set of NXT TV tapings two weeks ago due to an apparent heart attack. After his release from the hospital on March 30, he issued a statement noting that he had some changes to make but he was up to the task, and thanked everyone for their support while he’s been recovering.
