The latest episode of IMPACT Wrestling seemingly suffered a substantial drop in viewership. But it turns out that the initial number was an error.
ShowBuzz Daily had reported that Tuesday’s episode drew 38,000 viewers, which would have been a massive drop from the previous week’s 116,000. In fact, it would have been IMPACT Wrestling’s lowest viewership of the year. But Mike Johnson of PWInsider has revealed that the number was erroneous.
“PWInsider.com learned this morning that there was indeed an error,” wrote Johnson. “The episode was actually up, bringing in 148, 512 overnight viewers. That would be up from the 116,000 that they brought in the week before.”
Johnson also notes that the show scored a 0.04 rating in the 18-49 demographic, which lines up with IMPACT Wrestling’s typical numbers.
