Since Keith Lee was pulled from the card at WWE Elimination Chamber, many fans have wondered what’s going on with the former NXT Champion.
A new report from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful shines some light on the situation. He reports that Lee is not medically cleared to compete in the ring, but the WWE RAW star has been “actively trying” to gain that clearance.
“Lee was sidelined for health reasons in February, and WWE have not cleared him for a return as of yet,” wrote Ross Sapp. “Lee underwent some testing following being sidelined, and WWE sources have indicated that he is actively trying to get cleared.”
Ross Sapp also notes that the company had at least had talks of putting the WWE United States Championship on Lee before he was unable to compete at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view. Plus, per Ross Sapp’s report, WWE doesn’t currently have plans for Lee, though this situation differs from that of Aleister Black and Andrade, who weren’t being used when they were healthy.
I hear many of you. I see many of the messages. One day, I will explain it all for the ones true to me.
For now, know that I more than appreciate the continued support.
And WHEN I return, it will be filled with all the love I have for those that represent this #LEEGION
