The weekly NXT Injury Report is out now, and ahead of the upcoming TakeOver, we have some more information on a few key superstars following this week’s episode of NXT.
With Io Shirai ready to defend her NXT Women’s Championship at TakeOver, she’ll be nursing a slight injury following a brutal assault she suffered at the hands of Raquel Gonzalez. According to NXT, Shirai suffered a lower back injury as a result of the attack, but is cleared for action ahead of TakeOver.
Elsewhere in the report, Drake Maverick was the victim of an angry WALTER, who dominated Maverick easily in their match. Maverick is still day-to-day after suffering internal injuries, so we’ll have to wait and see how his healing does. Finally, Jesse Kamea – who was reportedly injured during training – is day-to-day with an ankle injury.
