In his AEW Revolution post-show scrum, AEW President Tony Khan previously hinted that it was only a matter of time before the company signed Velvet to a contract:
“It’s coming,” said Khan. “It’s coming. She’s tremendous, I can’t say enough good things about Red Velvet, by the way, thanks for bringing it up. When I talk about the extension of Dark, one thing I’m really proud of is there’s been so many great young wrestlers that have gotten to do more and more and develop themselves, and we’ve seen a lot more of people that started on Dark and made their way to Dynamite, onto the pay-per-views. This past week, Red Velvet on Dynamite, was in one of the biggest matches we’ve had on Dynamite.”
