Ethan Page Explains Decision To Sign With AEW, Says It ‘Was Always At The Top Of My List’

Ethan Page explains why All Elite Wrestling made all the sense in the world to him.

Page uploaded his latest vlog and discussed the decision to join AEW after his IMPACT Wrestling contract expired in January. Page said (via Fightfulthat AEW was always at the top of his list, and he wouldn’t be able to do any of his existing content like his vlog and Twitch if he would’ve signed with WWE instead.

“I wanted to go to AEW from the chance that I even thought about moving from one place to another. AEW was always at the top of my list. I would not be able to do this stream with you guys, I would not be able to answer these questions, I would not be able to do my vlog, Twitch, or any outside projects like that (in WWE). They give the talent some really good creative freedom as well to be who they are and who they want to be. You’re going to see ‘All Ego’ Ethan Page. I really had a hand in designing my first t-shirt for AEW. You’re going to see sprinkles of my creativity throughout my AEW career. It’s more of a collaboration.”

Despite it being recorded earlier, Page was on IMPACT television through their Hard To Kill pay-per-view when his alter-ego, The Karate Man, killed him off. Page made his AEW debut at Revolution and competed on Dynamite last week; his next match takes place on Monday’s new episode of AEW Dark: Elevation.
